Re: Quark - A Gimble for GoPro's (If you're not totally burned on funding campaigns)

Hmmm..........that looks pretty appealing to me. I like the idea of having the gimble and camera as separate items. IE: you eat shit and wreck the gimble, but you still have a usable action cam. (not one very expensive broken gadget) The option to use my older GoPros would be useful. Form factor wis...

Re: Shoe goo on depower line to prevent wear?

Bees wax or candle wax???..............What do you guys do about sand sticking to it? A few years ago I had a Switch Control bar that chewed the depower line ridiculously fast. I ended up putting White Lightning Clean Ride bike lube on it. It's a dry lube wax that sheds dirt/sand when dry. I didn't ...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

I can't believe this thing still isn't out.... For their sake I hope it launches soon and is a reliable, perfect working camera. I didn't invest originally as I'm tired of being an unknowing beta tester for products. For $400 I can't have another dud/dead camera sitting in a drawer. I'm hoping this ...

Re: Naish pivot 2017 8 or 9 meter?

I would for sure do the 8m. I'm 20kg + more than you and use my 8 as my high wind kite. I've been recently thinking about finding a 6m as my 8m seems a bit more grunty/powerful than other brands I've owned. As Taut said, it's a great do everything kite. There are specialist kites that will be better...

Re: Okay who of us is kiting in Florida right now?

I had a couple people text this clip to me last night. My first thought was "lucky bastard..." We had a good laugh. Yeah those news reporters are idiots. The sky is always falling somewhere. Non-kiting people in general, are always shaking their heads and calling us crazy.....especially the spring k...

Re: Good luck Caribbean and South Florida

Any info on how the Turks and Caicos fared? I saw this last night. You can see Long Bay right in the eye....

Hoping everyone is ok.

Re: Nobile Kiteboarding: Tribe & Futurism 2018 Collection

I've been critical of Nobile's paint jobs for the last few years, but some of these look quite good.

The NHP Carbon split has been tempting me for years as a stealth mission travel board, I can see one of those being in my arsenal of gear.

Re: downwinder ultrlight pack

Had a buddy attempt a SW Salvo Day Use run to Pea Island in pretty light air. I bailed out on that and elected to just ride in front of the house until with wind crapped..............and it did while attempting the downwinder. He had to hike out of in bare feet. Didn't go well. I bring booties, phon...

Re: Ride Engine Safety Concern

Or you could just get a Mystic Majestic X and not have to dick around with a cheesy strap system.
