Re: Best split boards 2016

bought the element board but it was to floppy for my weight also the screw together system was time consuming and came loose with riding. wish i could have tried it before i bought. newer models may be better. will try the nobile 138 next. the fixing system looks excellent.

Re: Using some old Kites after lessons...

best to leave chat like this up. beginners can hopefully see this and avoid making the same mistakes. most brands have at least one good model, cabrinha sb or radar, slingshot rally, north rebel, airush lithium and so on. be careful not to get anything high aspect ratio and get one good mid sized ki...

Re: Kitesurfing in Decline?

we had a tough year here in Thailand with the army in power but we still managed to pay the bills and have a little beer money at the end. I would have to say kiteboarding is becoming more mainstream and good school/clubs build a client base. after 8 years we have a churn but keep a steady number of...

Re: Using some old Kites after lessons...

my advice to beginners is only buy kite less than 3 years old with crispy material. even then you may have bladder issues. at my club I think every single person that tried second kites had to buy new ones or just gave up. I stopped selling my used kites from my club as only beginners would buy them...

Re: 2013 Airush Smart Bar 4 - Pros - Cons - Opinion

breaking the old trim strap on your bar is an opportunity to upgrade to the cleat system. is excellent. I am changing all the bars over as they break in my kite school. I still stand by the smart bar as the best I have seen/used to date and we stock several brands. 2014 and 2015 bars are upgradeable...

Re: airush 12m zero

hi, yes I have a 22m zero and I did not find it to be any better than the 18m zero in pulling power. the zero is still king of my beach for the extreme light wind but most people prefer the contra 17m as it has more wind range. the depower cleat is the answer to being able to depower your airush bar...

Re: airush 12m zero

sorry for the late reply. the kite is heavy on steering and powering (pulling the bar in) it is an exceptional kite for teaching in light wind, infact my instructors use it before the foil trainers as it flies in lighter wind. the kite itself is exceptionally light. this would also be a good light w...

airush 12m zero

some of you may be interested to hear about the 12m airush zero strut I got as a test model a couple months ago. I have a kite school in pattaya Thailand. our thermal winds typically range from 5 till 14 knots. when winds have been lighter we have relied heavily on the 18m zero. problem was as soon ...
