Re: Few new boards

On one of the boards I used Automotive paint. One of the auto stores in town can put it in a spray can for you. That is one way to get any color you want since they have thousands. On the others I just used any spray paint from any hardware store. Finished them off with a clear coat with UV protecti...

Re: Practicing QR techniques

I always check the QR when rigging the bar, just before going out. I always release it and re-assemble just to make sure nothing is preventing it from releasing. Had a close call after coming in from a session and had to self-land and the QR would not release. Gusty conditions near shore and I could...

Re: Treating ABS so it will bond to Epoxy resin.

For those of you that do use ABS for rails, how wide and thick do you make them?

Do you cut them out of sheet as 1 piece or a couple of pieces?

I am still a novice when it comes to riding and not experienced enough to really tell a...

Re: First Board Build - Few questions

The wood grain is going length wise. I am more familiar with wakeboards and they have zero flex. My kiteboard is a really old Slingshot Manta and that also doesn't have any flex. I would say the flex is similar to a snowboard.
