Re: Kiteforum Update 2019 - any suggestions? Site can be offline sometimes!

Yes I saw that. But not so "easy" for me. Accessing 'User Control Panel' always requires me to sign-in again (even though I'm already signed-on!) and then click through several more pages to get to the list of my bookmarks. For those of us in remote locations with poor bandwidth this process can ta...

Re: Kiteforum Update 2019 - any suggestions? Site can be offline sometimes!

Shouldn't there be a link to 'My Bookmarks' under 'Quick links' ??? That would be great. Currently I'm not seeing an easy way to view my bookmarks - am I missing something? In the User Control Panel, where you manage your complete profile, you will find all of this. Click on your user name on top r...

Re: Neo bridle setting

Just to be clear, if I'm not mistaken, the blue attachment point is the "high depower, freeride" setting and the yellow attachment point is the "wave/default" setting. I've tried both settings and the most apparent difference I've noticed is the blue setting helps in gusty wind to "soften" any high ...

Re: Firewire EVo versus Vader

In kiting, where do you exactly need the volume that much? in transitions volume makes difference, as well as area, and where the area and volume is in particular on the low end, and even on the very high end - also in surf depending on the wave and how fast you ride the wave on the low end, when y...

Re: Firewire Evo Size Chart

Ever see this size chart? Anyone agree/disagree? Unfortunately, I don't remember the source of this chart - I do remember copy/pasting it a year or two ago from "somewhere". Firewire Evo Size Chart 4'10 x 17.75" x 2" 20L - best for kiters < 160 lbs. 5'1 x 18.5" x 2.25" 24.5L - best for kiters 150-19...

Re: Firewire EVo versus Vader

the evo is about a half size larger than the vader so the 4' 10" evo is bigger than a 4'' 10" vader but not as big as a 5' 1" looked at the listed volume I ride a 4'' 10" evo at 165 lbs with a 5'6"" slingshot celeritas as my larger board or bigger surf if you ride powered powered up, the smaller ev...

Re: Firewire EVo versus Vader

Can anyone comment of Evo sizing? I'm about 170lbs and have a 5'1" Vader I've ridden for two years. When the Evo was announced I wanted to give it a try based on reviews and description. I've been told at shops to get the 4'10" Evo. But what I can't get my head around is how a board being ridden by ...

Re: Do I need a wetsuit for la ventana Mexico next week?

Just to confirm, 3/2 shorty would be fine. Perfect weather here now!!

Be aware however that this coming week is Semana Santa which is the major Spring holiday in Mexico - so beginning mid-week the beaches will be packed with campers and revelers. Good luck with that scene!!
