Re: More wings, the hard way?

Greetings, with this philosophy we would stop any kind of developing. Without getting difficult, are you kiting with a recycled kite ? Your car is powered by a mule ? Instead of a smartphone you use what ? I can go on like this for hours without getting funny You should be happy that someone is inve...

Re: Another DIY foil

Greetings, drawing wings in Fusion 360 drove me nuts. Especially when the surface is not straight. What I also could not get handled is importing *.*dat files. There is a plugin to import NACA but that is pretty much all. All guys and girls building our own stuff are on a long way to Amarrilo. For t...

Re: Moses Quality Control is ... you decide

... The slingshot sticker just says, we never bothered to design our own foil, we happily borrowed the design from lift for our first one and now get them fancy Italians at Moses to do our design too.. all the while we charge a premium to our customers as they think we have added something magic to...

Re: What's the worst thing about kite surfing?

Wind is always on Monday. Best day is Wednesday and on Thursday is starts to die, slowly slowly, but it starts to pick up on Sunday late afternoon. Unfortunately you have early shift by Monday. I know every trick the wind plays. I thought, hey you are not stupid. Get yourself a foil. Now I am facing...

Re: Another DIY foil

Off topic. I'm considering a 1000 mm x 1500mm for milling soft materials. Using the OX system. I have a heated garage. Cnc costs about 18-25k euros...it's a fairly steep investment in money and time. Doing reading and research this year in preparation. Tom, good question, possible that you have a s...

I go about 1/2 that speed for good results.
Hell that is slow. It would take me ages to get my stuff printed. What printer are you using ? Did you ever made tests what your printer can handle?

Hi Kosta
What print speed are you using? I printed the spitfire from 3dlabprint and it took a while to get that to print well. Its very difficult since its a 1 perimeter outside to keep it light enough to fly.
Hi,

5200mm/min in S3D.

All this has a super steep learning courve.

tks

Re: Another DIY foil

Found out that I have printed by mistake the wrong files for the second wing set. Not all off them luckily. The correct files are another 62 hours, 46 to go. There are days I hate that shit big time. This is one of them. On the other hand, this is the first time I print with dampers, printer - desk,...

Re: Custom Kiteboard Full Carbon

Greetings I ordered by mistake some years ago 0/90° carbon. Both mold injecetd boards broke within 2 week period. I learned this lesson well. When you look on a glider wing, 90% of the outer/inner shell is made out of biax carbon. Every thing that is not able to flex under heavy load, breaks. I have...

Re: How to fix delaminating Brunotti

Hi, trust me, your hair will turn grey with this. Your girl will tell you that you are too stupid to fix this small ding. No one will hug you when you come after shift, no kisses, your sex live will turn out into a disaster. Take that in consideration. The foil is treated chemical to bond on the bla...
