Re: FS Sonic Race review anyone?

Kami, it sounds like you are just guessing. Have you flown a Sonic Race? My question is aimed at someone who has flown the Sonic Race with a twintip. Yes, I understand that the Sonic Race was designed for Hydrofoiling, but my experience has been that so called "racing" kites turned out to be a lot ...

Re: FS Sonic Race review anyone?

Very very light bar pressure. Overall, nice. A complete waste of time and money for a twintip or surfboard. Please explain why. Thanks much! No grunt? Sonic 1 is more sheet n go than the 2 but for the TT it's less a light wind kite than just more power for given wind. If you have flat water and can...

Re: Axis Ride aluminum foil and carbon board

Yeah similar eh... though the Axis shares more ideas in common with the Alpine Access: recessed mast/fuse and rear wing mount, and (most important for my peace of mind) collar on the plate.

And it's red. Red is better. Red is faster. Everyone knows that.

Re: Axis Ride aluminum foil and carbon board

How many different tools do you need to assemble that one? What is provided? Came in a zipppered suitcase thing to ship and store the foil, disassembled. Space in there for a short mast and a spare wing. Not really practical for daily use, as it you'd have to completely break the foil down. I bough...

Re: Axis Ride aluminum foil and carbon board

So all in all a Zeeko copy. Complete with the vertical stabilisers that Kami was convinced was a design flaw. It is, but what can you do? :D the HG was way more locked into straight-lining and it has no vertical stab ;) The only real similarity I see with the Zeeko is the wing mounting, but converg...

Apart from the bar pressure, I prefer the Sonic 1. Sonic 2 drifts better too...

Re: Axis Ride aluminum foil and carbon board

Been out on it twice so far. Hadn't spent more than 15 minutes on a foil since March, so was a bit twitchy for a while: Plummet's Regreession, major case of. Today was better...! Almost perfect for me (waiting for the XL/wave wing for swell riding) with its speed range, lack of vices, and balance of...

Re: 2018 Naish Thrust Surf Foil

Honestly you should just pick up a used original LF foil for next to nothing. They are slow enough to surf and sturdy enough to hit sandbars. You can get them for like $300 used now. If you want a true surf foil get a Zeeko Spitfire LW. Going with a foil designed to paddle surf wont be ideal with a...

Re: Is this worth fixing?

Now now, :nono: before you start critisizing me lets look at this whole picture. You are extremely overweight, how much do you weigh? About a thousand pounds? Well this extra weight is going to put more stress on your sorry board. And since you don't know how to kite good or look where you're going...
