Re: Flysurfer Soul

@ Adventure Logs – A credit to you if your launching your 11m Sonic in 35+ winds (whether its MPH or knots) If I arrived at the beach to find the wind 35mph for example, I would see how others were coping and then go home. :D

Re: Any paragliding pilots around here?

I like the idea of Paragliding at low level on the beach, plenty of videos on YouTube.
However, I came across this video so will keep to kitesurfing thanks very much. (The comments make a good read)

Re: New foil from Ozone

Recently took delivery of my 12m HL (Standard fabric) having finally decided which size to go for.
Laying the HL side by side to my 12m Chrono V1, the Chrono is about 1.5m longer and easy to see the difference between a high AR foil and mid AR foil.
Looking forward to my first session…

Re: which kite to complement Ozone Hyperlink 12m and Ozone Chrono V2 UL 18m

Depending on what wind speed you feel comfortable riding in may form part of the decision making process for when trying to decide what size kite to go for. I don’t ride foil boards so not able to comment as such, but my understanding is that you need less wind as compared with a twin tip for example.

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I can’t find it now, but I’m sure I read somewhere that the Soul uses “non-distorting” nylon battens in the leading edge. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
I’m always conscious of not packing my kites away to tightly and often don’t leave them in the bags for long time.

Re: Peter Lynn Charger 3

Horst Sergio – Great to see that Windtools Mosquito KS version, they had a pump up tube that was inserted into the leading if memory serves.
I use to have Mosquito Pro’s for land based kiting as well as the Peel kite from Peter Lynn.

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Looking on the oase forum.
Armin – Jokingly referred to the soul as a “new mega link between Tubekite and Softkite”
Looks to be a freeride foil.

Re: What to look when buying a used foil kite?

Not bought a used foil kite for many years now, but regularly look on eBay to see what’s there.
I have seen some poorly presented listings, where image quality and description doesn’t inspire me with confidence.

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

With UL versions reported to weigh 25% less than a standard foil, I just imagined that a lighter kite equates to a better low end? I’ve travelled with my 18m Chrono on a number of occasions, it packs quite well having spent much time neatly folding it, but understand your need for a UL version. Here...
