Re: Beastmount breakage, your opinions?

I had the same issue with the Beastmount V1. Ditched it for the U.Go linemount and now I sell them. I place it at various locations on my center lines...no problem. Check out https://www.ugokiteboardingwest.com/ Interesting product; is it flexible? Hard to tell from the video. Also: when inserting ...

Re: Beastmount breakage, your opinions?

I have beastmount and it survived at least 15 sessions.. even one when the kite popped the strut after the tomahawking.. maybe I am lucky.. but I usually use it in "melow" conditions.. Never want anything on my lines when I am crazy powered... I also remember hearing someone complaining about one.....

Re: Cape town / Witsand - Kite sizes mid February

There's witsand beach near Scarborough on the peninsula and Witsand 300km east of CT, correct me if I'm wrong. Witsand beach is a great wave spot but you can have a good time there on your TT as well. I was there last week, 7 and 5m where the most used sizes. Can be windy when Blouberg is still wait...

Beastmount breakage, your opinions?

Just wondering about your opinions on the following : used my beastmount V1 for the first time in Capetown last week, it broke to pieces after 5 min. My gopro dropped in the ocean but luckily because of the floater I could save it just on time. I contacted their customer support and got a quick repl...

Re: Vanguard- FCS or Futures?

Just my 2c: Started last year with a thruster set up on my VG 5'2" and later switched to a very simple F4 Quad Thermotech setup (50 euros for a 5 fin set). This totally transformed the board for me! From a very capable board, but not much better than my former North pro series, it is now so much mor...

Re: New Ride Engine harness review

I've just used the hexcore in Brazil: daily downwinders and no more backpain in spite of kiting every day for 4-5 hours! I also brought my Jaybar (using it for the past 2 years with great satisfaction!) and was able to use it on the RE by feeding the PU loop directly through the steel where the webb...

Re: Why do Firewire Tomo shapes work so well?

Hey Ed, how's life in Brazil? (saw your post on Hanglos) I'm still enjoying the VG you sold me (with fins, as you now regret), would like to try the Vader as well! But to put things in perspective: I was in Brazil last month and brought the VG 5'2 as well as my old North pro series 5'10 as backup. I...

Pivot: material around scuff guard letting loose, problem?

Anyone else seen this happening? And any tips on glue or other measures to take?
I't quite hard to get the sand of the sticky material and create a new flat surface for glue to hold is my impression..

All the seals around the scuff guards seem to be affected more or less.
