Re: 2014 North Rebel with 2019 Duotone Trust bar

Just to clarify if all 5 lines are equal length and the center line is the one running to your release under the bar then you should be good to go (make sure to lean back hard against the bar when checking, lines should be tested for evenness under load). As people have noted the V height has change...

Re: Duotone Rebel SLS 2024

Yes. Bar pressure is down for 2024.

Re: Duotone Rebel SLS 2024

If comparing to previous year you should note the closing seam. I think our new closing seam is the biggest R&D improvement since we came out with SLS material. All our kites using this seam needed a complete redesign to handle the increased stiffness it imparts. It's crazy. What's crazier is our ma...

Re: 2019 rebel high Y or Low V?

One of those loops is for the pump leash, the other is for the 5th line.

Re: 2019 rebel high Y or Low V?

Be careful with the 5th line safety. If you are using 5 lines the 5th line (to center of kite) must be the safety line, do not use a front line safety on a 5 line bar. All our 5 line bar setups have all 5 lines the same length when pulled straight (lean back against the bar, the lines need some tens...

Re: 2019 rebel high Y or Low V?

@supachip1...
2013 Dyno (there was no 2014) noseline lengths:
9m: 310cm
11m: 350cm
15m: 402cm

Remember there may be slack in those, they are for relaunch/safety only, they are not loaded.

Re: 2019 rebel high Y or Low V?

I'm wary of mismatching any kite/bar due to safety issues but I would 100% not fly any DTK kite on a double-front-line release. Also I used to advise testing mismatched release systems in low wind and then learned the hard way that sometimes a release system can work in light wind and have absolutel...

Re: 2019 rebel high Y or Low V?

The internet is not giving you a straight answer because there is no straight answer. As far as performance changes, it depends on the model. Our Dice flies great on a lower V, people say it increases pop/slack. Neos don't like low Vs. Rebels have had mixed reviews with people generally preferring h...

Re: Evo SLS vs DLAB Bladder

They are not the same. Same material, different kite design. It is possible that it will fit, generally bladders will expand as necessary to fill the space (within reason) but if the strut placement is significantly different it could pop on initial inflation which can be very frustrating after goin...

Re: Duotone SLS Bladders

Sorry, just catching back up here. Again, I cannot speak to all countries but in North America we are replacing leaky LE bladders from 2021 and newer kites regardless of how long ago you purchased the kite, though again, if you have a faulty inflate valve it normally shows itself within the first 1-...
