Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

Hey guys- Sorry for the silence on this whole topic but we've been really busy ramping up for the launch of the new brand. Now that the gloves are off I'm happy to answer any questions I can. First, I think a lot of people on this forum understand the difference, but just to be clear, I've never wor...

Re: Good bar suggestion

Just a quick tip as you were worried about the stopper on the Click bar not being strong enough... It is adjustable on the fly straight out of the bag and is pretty good at staying where you put it, however if you want to more permanently keep it in one position there is a grub screw on the stopper ...

Re: Rebel with shorter backlines

Second what Knotwindy said, though generally front lines tend to stretch more than back lines (technically they shrink less) so usually you need to lengthen your outside lines over time. You can always try shortening your front lines though if that's how you prefer to ride, just be aware that if the...

Re: Neo, Dice or Evo for 12m

The first few years Ken was designing the Neo they were EXTREMELY powerful. Since then he's worked on increasing the top end and shaving just a bit of grunt off the low end each year. Back then the 12m was a bit of a dog for turning speed, but I believe it's improved every year since, especially for...

Re: 2018 North Traction Pad Team (front) - are they better/stickier than normal pads?

I work for North so take with as much salt as you want... The Team Pads are awesome, however they are not 'pads' in the traditional sense. They are VERY thin, they give almost no padding, just grip. Feels more like very sticky wax. Board feel is better than with any other pad, so if you like the dir...

Re: North Evo

The 2010 Evo was a delta-C shaped kite. It had some limitations... It sits very deep in the window and pulls hard and downwind. It works great in lightwind to get you out and is a fairly versatile kite in terms of waves and unhooked freestyle, plus has good relaunch, but going upwind is definitely n...
