Re: Cabrinha delamination

Slightly off topic but I have owned and used 3 Custom/CBL boards and have not had any issues. I could see however that if you damaged the rails or top/bottom then yes water will possibly start reacting with the timber core, just like every other kiteboard and surfboard. If you do smack them around t...

Badgb21....You nailed it with comments on the Contra 17 and 15. Could not agree more. Love these two kites.

Re: 2018 Neilpyrde harnesses?

I purchased a Proton. The Atom felt too hard when I was trying on. I have used the Proton for 20 plus sessions now and it has broken in nicely. Straps are too long so I will cut 6 inches off these and reseal. It is a nice firm hardness on the lower back. I had an NP softer one from circa 2016 but th...

Re: Video of Ram Air Inversion Disaster

Wind looks very marginal and most kites would be unstable.

Re: Video of Ram Air Inversion Disaster

The wind looks very light. I am guessing about 10kn. Aren't most kites struggling with LIFT at this wind speed?

Re: Kite sizes

Really subjective. You can get away with another 11 or 12 as you can vary board sizes or knots on the lines to adjust power required. I had a 14M Switch but now love the 15 contra.

I have had a Trace (Traceup) for some time now and it is very good. Shows GPS tacking, distance height and no of jumps...and more. Check it out.

Re: choosing twin tip size you give more importance to your weight or how much you are overpowered or underpowered?

Really good questions. I started with a 12m and 144 TT and as I progressed I bought larger and smaller kites. 8-19 I also experimented with boards, shapes/sizes/thickness. I now have 136 to 170 boards and can mix and match depending on conditions. Always take a couple of kite sizes and board sizes t...

Re: Fireball & Swivel Danger

Had my fireball setup for more than 50 sessions now. I would not go back to the old loop. Far better.
