november and december sucked big time.
Now it looks like we may be getting some wind though its still a little sketchy.

The last 2 years january has been pretty good. Last year i rode both my 8m and my 10m (im 74kg)
and am hoping that this year will be the same

warmest and windiest? Dhakla perhaps...

...though i cant say that i would want to live there.
Mauritania was pretty good, constant winds through the spring and summer and certainly pretty warm!

This year we had some reasonable windy periods in the first part of the year but also some weeks with no wind.
I was using my 11m far more than my 8m.

From june onwards it has been a big change and i have hardly used the 11 since then.
(May was almost a complete washout)

Yes, i agree. I used to have a bandit 2 and found the velcro safety to be far easier to use than the more 'sophisticated' but ultimately more slippery system on my Slingshot.

More can be less

My advice with Tarifa:

go to beach, if wind then kite, if no wind, dont kite

forget windguru in all its formats

have you tried doing a search on here? I remember seeing a thread about a small group of kiters from Dar when i was close to moving there last year.
