Re: Strutless Kite Modifying

Modified an old 10 mtr Best HP, just left the centre strut, works rather well. Starting weight 3.5kg, current weight 2.8. Probably a 9.5 mtr kite now after I scoloped the trailing edge, even relaunches ok. Very happy with the performance and the extra float in the light stuff. Foiled yesterday in 9 ...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

The BRM cloud is unobtainium in countries outside the US, or at best not the easiest to buy. Unless BRM change their shipping policy changes and if they are happy with the quantity of kites they are selling, why bother. Hence it not being on my shopping list. Reminds me of this https://www.wanttokno...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Tossing up between the 12 Ultra or 12 Boxer. Has anyone tested both kites, due to location I can't test either in the larger sizes. I'm 80 kgs and it will be used for light wind foiling. Thanks

Re: How to Assemble a Naish Foil Set

I use grease, coat everything, cheap and easy. The foil gets hosed after each use and disassembled for cleaning each two weeks. So far no corrosion.

Re: How to Assemble a Naish Foil Set

I have one of these myself, happy with the Philips heads as Naish use a neat system of putting the components together, this means there is very little load on the screws that you don't need to tighten them much at all. And the screws are all M6 and readily available in most hardware shops. The spec...

Re: Slingshot NF2 Positioning

Hi Ludbey, I taught myself to foil with a kite, then recently tried behind a boat. I found the boat much harder than using the kite, especially the initial getting up on the foil. Maybe ok of a sup when your already standing. I mainly ride strapless surfboards too but use at least one strap when foi...

Re: Naish Foiling 2018

I borrowed the Thrust large sup wing from the local shop to try on my Thrust KS. Worked very well, stable and quite uasable. It was on a 70 cm mast, although heavy on the beach it is neutrally buoyant so the weight was irrelevant in the water. Breaching the foil was nearly a slight drop, you could b...

Re: Happy foil board inserts loose.

Looks like your inserts have come loose inside the board, they are only glued into foam and the foam/insert glue join has failed. To repair, first dry the water out from the board, out on the sun upside down, may take a few days. Water will be pushed out during the day as the air expands inside the ...

Re: New North Foil's 'PA Carbon Mix 50'

The wings and fuselage look and feel like plastic, they look very tough. Hopefully someone has gotten one on the water
