Re: Wind conditions at Lake Calima. Colombia

Looks cool. What are the conditions like in January?
And what's the best way to get there from Bogota?

Re: kiteboarding in the Caribbean while on a cruise ship?

It definitely can be done. Try to find out from the tour EXACTLY where they will let out. Then contact the schools in that area and ask them how it all works there. I took a cruise and it stopped at Aruba, then I just found someone to take me from the trinklet-ville center to the kite huts and rente...

Re: headed to Boracay- what kites to bring

I don't know your weight but either way I'd suggest the biggest sizes.

Been in Boracay a few times and a bigger kite is a more likely scenario.

Also you're going right before the strongest winds (Dec-Feb/March).

The new Trigger looks really interesting. Looking forward to trying it... and the new bar.

Re: Griffin Argo or EH Ovando for light wind?

Can't speak on the Ovando. But the Argo is a great lightwind kite.
I weigh 170 and have had the Argo out in 10 knots with a surfboard.
And 11 should be a good size for your weight.

Re: Trainer kite

The Viron looks nice. Would like to try one.

But are the prices really $650 for a 2.5 meter and $1000 for a 6 meter?
Could get a lot more kite for that kind of money.

Re: Flysurfer Speed3 - The Ultimate Flying Machine

Has anyone tried the HQ Matrixx 15 that just arrived?

http://www.powerkitesdirect.com/hq-matrix/

I have only tried the 9 at 20 knots and it was a solid kite. And haven't tried Flysurfer yet to compare. Major differences?
