Re: Beastmount breakage, your opinions?

Hard to tell but looks like it is printed on the wrong axis to really make it strong. On top of that it is not a solid print. I would not trust it the way they are printing it myself. I have a 39 printer and you have to print certain ways to for strength on some things. The difference between a vert...

Re: Waring on Foil Mount adhesive

So what strength VHB did you use? They make different strengths based on the load and conditions you are using it for. Normal is the 5psi but they make stronger than that. Just because it is similar does not mean it is the same. All so you might want to change the name of the title since your experi...

Yeah they have some deeper ones for kite and wake boards. All are stainless so if you wanted to have a thinner profile you could use some snowboard ones. I all ways route out between inserts to make a block for extra grip with polyurethane.

These are what I have in the neoprene. They work good and fit great in my truck.

Re: Best way to add bolt threads in the board for the mast when building board?

Any reason I couldn't use a coupling nut as an insert? Like this: https://www.aimsindustrial.com.au/m8-nut-depth-24mm-316-stainless-steel-hex-coupling It would most likely pull out since the only thing holding it in would be the outer edge under the glass. T-bolts are cheap and designed to hold in....

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

. So I'm just curious since you feel so passionate about this climate change and the plastic in the ocean what are you personally doing about it. What? Other than getting pissed on a friday night and ranting on forums? I get the nurse to make sure to re use the plastic straw for my medication... So...

Re: 3D Printed Wings - please post your experiences here

I started building a 3d printed foil. I have the mast pieces printed but suffered a pectoral tear and have been laid up unable to start the carbon layup. I would recommend some fiberglass or carbon. Since you did a vertical print I bet your wing tips break off. If you wanted to loose weight carbon r...

Re: Is anyone else buying carbon credits to offset CO2 from travel?

I tried to read a bit of this thread, but the USA element of climate change deniers, God Botherers and other weak minded morons left me with the feeling we're fucked whichever way you look at it. I've been around a while, managed to survive, despite the nuclear tests in the fifties and sixties but ...

Re: under a 9m better a 6 or a 7m for twintip riding?

I would go with the 7m. There really is not gong to be too much of a difference in the power between the 2. It will be enough of a difference where you will want to skip the smaller kite more than use it. I hardly use my 7m because we just don't get the winds for it here enough. But it's good to hav...

Re: Seamax electric pump review... I love it

A very nice solution for something that is not a problem.... added to that you have forgotten some cons: 1. It costs 200$ 2. It takes up space in car and house/garage 3. You need to put in the time/effort to charge it 4. Footprint (I try to resist buying stuff the world and I can do without). 5. Ye...
