I tried the 9m but still an XR. It will loop and catch you but not my kind of kite. Too slow still for me as I prefer faster moving kites. Unless you really can afford them I do not think most people would benefit from the increased cost.

The Reach is more versatile. I have 7,10,12 Reachs because our winds are lighter and less dense. I have 9m Orbit for windy days.
