I'm a beginner and picked up a 12m Switchblade as my first kite (Mine's an 09 but I don't think there's any major difference between 09 and 10). It's great! As everyone else is saying, you can't go wrong!

No tips for cable other than to just edge hard and stand tall. If you bend at the waist/in your legs too much you won't get enough leverage on the line.
