Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

I got one of these sliding hooks a few years back. Couldn't use it as it extended the c/l too much and made it too much of a stretch. Complete waste of money. Has this been sorted? Seems some manufacturers are bringing the 'pivot/connection point' closer to the body on none sliding designs lately. ...

Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

About history In the 2nd half of the last century sailing harnesses started to have composite components. In 2013 we started the tests of Adjustable Back Support and used fiberglass battens and PVC layers to stiff the back. In 2014 RE started the challenge of full rigid harness back and since then ...

Is there an option to fix the safety line not other than the sliding rope? I See a potential failure point. If the sliding rope fails, its a wearing item so it will fail at some point, you loose the kite completely. In my mind the safety line should not be attached to the sliding rope. That way if ...

Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

Have you never thought of an harness you can split in 5 separate parts ? No? Maybe you didn't evaluate the benefits of this assembly system so let see first the issues of a standard assembly : :( When you buy a rigid or semi-rigid harness you pay some extra money due to the carbonfiber shell part, t...

Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

Jaystore.....most of the Dynabar users here in the Orlando area use ion board short harnesses. You should go that route if you want to sell some gear. I would by a pair. The ions just don't last that long. 6-8-months We have a more effective solution, shorts with straps + waist harness. You only re...

Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

Let's see some details of the new DYNABAR V9. The XT model will come with the pivoting dyneema leash (1) and the new 3D EVA pad (4). The new frame (3) is modified and can host the sliding hook (2) and make it fix. If you already own a DYNABAR V8, the V9 frame is compatible with the V8 sliding hook. ...

Re: Jay 2017 Game Changer

We won't have kitesurfing if someone didn't invent the wheel by looking at scarabs rolling their ball of dung. Thanks to scarabs, in 2008 we brought DYNABAR sliding hook system to market. Actually we have all brands following our path. About history In the 2nd half of the last century sailing harnes...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Jaystore, good concept for a leash, but I would question whether the pin is suited for taking the full power of the kite on a daily basis. The Cab mushroom has about 4 times as much metal and it also has the stabilizing ears to make sure the ring stays aligned and in contact with the metal portion ...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Already posted in other topic http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2393129 I'm not sure this solution can support the kitesurfing load but it's a good start line for designers of the kite harness technology 2.0 :thumb: http://www.smoothsailing.co.za/carbonology.html http://www.myboatsgea...
