Re: Have lei kites gotten any better in the last 6 years?

Good question....better materials, better inflation, better safety YES
More fun, purer flying machines, better all round packages = NO

Xenon infra 2016

Evening all

anyone had any time on this? Is it at all suitable to choppy UK conditions, or is it strictly a flat water machine?
Cheers

Re: Essaouira Sept. 14

Might be dropping off a little by then, at least in consistency on a day-to-day basis. When it blows there it blows hard though - was there for a week last august and was on 7m + 5.5m kite 5/7days. Pretty punchy, gusty, monster of a wind there. Kite beach just down from the bay is a great spot - you...

Re: Gin Uru

GIN is indeed back. Good for them. The Urus do look super well built - great re-inforcing on trailing edge for example, but they also have a carry handle sown on around centre strut so that you can easily carry it when inflated. Nice but utterly unnecessary - my feeling is that it s a really well pu...

Gin Uru

Hello Guys can anyone offer me a little illumination on the Gin Uru? Are they good kites? I ve always kept an eye on Gin due to their paragliding associations but never flown them. Mid to low aspect, good drifters, smooth but slightly tame? I am looking to get away from the lower-aspect side of thin...

Re: Dear Slingshot

Ditto Billie with the 2008 13m Ozone Instinct Edge II (to give it its full name) - what a kite that beauty is. Was down in Portland not long ago and demo'd the 2013 4-line 13m Edge and the comparison was night and day. I know that's a subjective comment, but there is no way you will convince me that...

Re: Varial X vs Edge

Thanks Guys, very good to hear your thoughts. What is the power delivery like with the Varial X? I ve read its a bit sharp, not quite as smooth as the Ozone, but that might be no bad thing. In truth i dont think any kites come close to the bang-on smoothness and refinement of the Ozone feel, but tha...

Varial X vs Edge

Hi Guys and Girls. Am in the market for the first time in 4 years and looking at either a 2012 Edge or Varial X. It seems the varial x is a little more of an all rounder, which is important as I ll be riding my surfboard as much as my twinnie, and was just wondering if anyone had anything bad to say...
