Ozone kites 12m low end experience

Hi all, I am step by step moving to Ozone kites. Due to weight 85kg, boards strapless, and spot conditions my quiver is 7, 9/10 and 12. 7 and 9/10 will be REOs, no doubt as I am riding waves strapless. 12 I have my doubts, I wil ride also strapless but little to none waves with this kite size. I am ...

Re: lightwind surfboard

Both flat rocker and volumme works for low wind. Thats why skims work, they may not hace such a big surface but are flat. Similar to what happens with the shinnster, It is not super big but flat and also works great in light wind having really low volumme (twintip construction) I checked yesterday m...

Re: lightwind surfboard

A couple of suggestions, Unless you are rich and want to waste your money, buy a cheap one, dont spend too much money on your first surfboard. It took me two or three different boards untill I learnt the right one for me. All them second hand. Then I did spend my money in a new one, which I own sinc...

Re: lightwind surfboard

Hi Ilog, I am 85 kg, and ride only directionals since years. Currently own two, a thinner 6.0 for the good wind days, and a shorter and wide 5,4 for the light ones. I have tried different boards, not only surfboards but also skims. Recomend you to try a skim, is a complete different feeling and real...

Ozone Reo bar knots

Hi all, I justicia bought a second hand Ozone Reo, have not been able to fly It yet. I noticed It has 3 knots ot the very beginning of the back lines, just after connection with the bar and that they are kept inside the bar floaters. Looks good as you can trim the back lines at bar level, at the bea...

Re: RPM 14m

Hi I am 85 Kg and usted tiene fly RPMs. For me the quiver 8 and 12 worked perfect, and never thought in a kite bigger than 12. My experince, the good thing on the RPMs is that you can generate good amounts of wind by moving the kite. For this I was able yo ride the 12 un what I consider light winds ...

Re: Slingshot SST vs Ozone Reo

Hi Onda what you day seems aligned with Ulx with regards to SST in smaller sizes.

I am looking a 7m, but have not enough budget for a new Reo v4, I am between Reo 2015 V3 or SST 2017.

Re: Slingshot SST vs Ozone Reo

Hi Ulx, I bought antes SST 10 m some months ago, first uses I was not 100% sure of this kite. Now after some uses I am very happy with it. It is a great kite but It needs you to adapt a bit your riding, which happens naturally. The thing is I am thinking in buying as SST 7m to complete my quiver and...
