Re: Tuning an Ozone hyperlink

Plenty of use on mine and no tuning. So I’m with Mossy. I would inspect everything and especially the blocks and mixer lines to make sure there are no wear before a vacation.

Curiosity has the best of me... What is this CA Waves kite that you're both speaking about?

Re: Small Kites who is making them?

I have a 9 A 15 ultralight that I need to get around to listing for sale. All white. Flown 3x, once on water. Also a Pansh 6m all green. Its a genesis I think - closed cell. Flown twice.

So if you like it make me an offer I can't refuse.

Re: Small Kites who is making them?

might have a chance to test my A15 this afternoon... Please don't judge all foil kites based on the A15. Regarding small kites I like Ozone Hyperlink in 5m. I'm also curious about the CA Waves. But foil kites lose any advantage over 20 knots and can be a pain to land. Ozone Uno lacks in rigidity. I...

Re: Got lofted once

I think F1 is now much much safer than kiting having in mind balance in speed proportions and comparing in numbers of seriuos accidents. They don’t let hot shot tourists drive F1 cars in challenging conditions after a 30 minute lessons. OP: you can get worked by any kite if the conditions are wrong...

Re: Launching your kite in +25 knots fully depowered

It probably also depends on how you are launching and how you have the kite set up. For example a tethered self launch maybe more likely to see the kite tumble if its fully depowered. Finally, if the wind is strong enough that you want to fully depower the kite to lauch, maybe its better to fly a sm...

Re: Refractive lens replacement

Definitely follow your surgeon's instructions. I normally do the eyes 2 weeks apart. If everything is healing as expected, I let people return to normal activity in 1 week.

Re: recommendation snow kite

What are people in your area riding with? To put it in perspective, my largest kite at 200 lbs is a 9 meter Hyperlink. But where I live its windy, and I enjoy underpowered riding on a hydrofoil. I could enjoy riding my 7 in almost any conditions and usually pull out the 9 when its very light. Yester...

Re: recommendation snow kite

Maybe people are put off by the word “trainer.” T34 is a trainer but it’s still an airplane. So yes a trainer kite can be used as a qualitative wind meter at the right height. You can use to practice bar movement for tricks and also building upper body strength. A two line foil is great to have for ...
