Re: light wind foiling pansh aurora 12m ul or ozone hyperlink ul

Have not flown a Pansh or even seen one in person but pretty much every single Pansh thread on every single forum has a lot of talk about how to tune a brand new kite so it flies right. In my mind this is especially problematic for light wind riding. Obviously I am tempted by Pansh price point and h...

Re: Splicing tips?

For amsteel I use a knitting needless it's more available than a proper fid. I push the needl3 through then attach the tail to bury with scotch tape.

Guitar string is better for fiddly bridle lines.

With R1, Chrono and Hyperlink it's difficult to see a point for a dedicated snow kite, apart from for marketing reasons, unless I'm missing something...
Looks like Stefarius' video above sums up why alpine snowkiters might prefer a Blizzard.

Is it the telephoto 65 Soloshot or the wider angle 25?

Re: Foil kite resistance against hitting the water

You can break pretty much any kite if you try hard enough. Foil kites are pretty resilient in my experience but I'm more interested in how they fly compared to how they crash. I would guess a 4 kg 12 m tube kite is not quite twice as durable as a 2 kg 12 m hyperlink. I blew a cell on a FS voodoo. I ...

Re: Ozone Chrono V3

My biggest experience gap here would relate to the Speed 4 (some time) and the Speed 5 (no time on). If there was a major change from 3-4 in the Speed series, then my evaluation would only pertain to the earlier (2 & 3) versions. Bigger change between Speed 4 and 5. Speed 4 deluxe was 8 and 10 only...

Re: best SUP for super light wind kiting

It's hard for me to believe this is 15 years old: http://www.mit.edu/~robot/zp/zeroprestige.html Q: How much volume should my board have? A: Way less than you think. It should be light so it doesn't sink and get lost, but that's it. Strange as it sounds, beginners especially benefit from low volume ...

Re: Hello from Dallas, TX

You might imagine that as the kite gets bigger the amount of movement you make deep into the power zone is going to be smaller. You are going to want to come to terms with the idea of flying a 12-14 meter kite.

Getting together with Posrover sounds like a pretty good call to me at this point.
