Re: Eleveight FS reviews?

The PS is strictly for schools. I don't think you want this kite past the initial schooling days. Go RS rather.

Re: Eleveight kites

I'm not sure why some folks question 12-15kn on a 12m? I am 165 lbs and 12m serves me well as a light wind kite. Sure, I take a flat light wind board on super light days and switch to my 135x40cm twin tip once it picks up a bit. 12m kites with good low end do the trick for lighter folks. For me it i...

Re: Eleveight RS review

Just rode the 12m RS today. Looks about right to size I would say. Less grunt than my 12m XR5 but lighter bar pressure and quicker turning. As a pretty light guy at 165 lbs I actually like the lighter less grunty feel of the 12m. I had a harder time to feel where the kite is in the sky then on an XR...

Re: Core Nexus and Nexus LW

No reviews yet? I know there are demos around the US now but I did not have a chance to fly one. Happy with my XR5's but in my largest size (12m) I would be glad to entertain a quicker more agile kite. I could do with a little less grunt. At 165lbs the 12m is lately my light wind kite. Wonder how mu...

Re: Core XR5 high bar pressure?

My impression initially was higher bar pressure as well. But there is the setting on the wing tip. I've put it on lightest on my XR4's so I had to do it as well on the 12m XR5 but decided to leave it in the medium (factory default) on the 9m. I think the XR5's just simply pull more and that might ad...

Re: Is the 9 mtr XR5 the best kite on the planet for us average joes who like to jump?

Hey, are you guys actually interested to hear from XR5 riders? If yes, I can give my impressions. 9m is really super sweet. Low end is strong and jumping strong even moderately powered. Did 35ft jumps on it in moderately powered conditions. Can't wait to see what it does when I am loaded on that thi...

Re: Core xr5?

First few sessions on 12m and 9m XR5 done. I have yet to be fully juiced on the 9m. First up 9m. Very solid pull, great feel where the kite is. Jumps very well even moderately powered. Turning is easy as I'm used to from the XR5. On first impression very similar to XR4. 2nd session on 9m. Moderately...

You are not very likely going to see any deep discounts. Not Core's philosophy.

Re: Core xr5?

Evolution is good! The best kites on the market have evolved over many generations. That's what makes them great. I see bridal changes and they mention a smaller diameter LE, plus reshaped wing tips. Most surprising is the addition of one more pulley. I was kind of hoping less of them. Oh well. Soun...

Re: Stainless steel pins used in leash quick release

I was just not sure if they are strong enough as the main release system on the center line. I plan to use it instead of the chicken loop for a direct connection. I don't want it to fail 40ft up in the air ;)
