Re: Ozone EXP - Unintended Possibilities

. Thanks for the post Fernmanus - how does the EXP compare to Souls and Sonics in upwind performance? (I think I remember you having FSers in past).
Upwind performance is excellent. Similar to Sonic or Chrono. A little better than the Soul.

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

I started using the Ion Sonar Seat harness this year on the water. It is a popular harness used by foil racers. I can hold down a heavier load compared to my waist harness. So for big air, it gives you an edge. Plus, the next day, i don’t feel any pain in my back. The other advantage of a seat harne...

Ozone EXP - Unintended Possibilities

The Flysurfer Peak was originally designed as a snow kite, but has been embraced as a kite for hydro foiling. I think the Ozone EXP which was also designed as a snow kite may hold promise as a big air kite on the water. The EXP has a design similar to the Chrono 5. The difference is that it is a 5 l...

Re: Kite school litigation in Texas

That was a good one. Just close enough to reality that you think it might be true. Kind of like President Biden celebrating Trangender Awareness Day in lieu of Easter. Oh wait…

Re: North Getting Serious About Foil Race Kites

It makes sense that race kites get sold at a big discount. They are so fragile that most don’t have much of a shelf-life.

Re: Drone recommendations

. Their drone is a great tool but it will kinda sucks because you can only really film your buddies . It takes a bit of time to be able to record something that is worth editing when it comes to following a moving target. It is not the kinda thing your going to do without dedicating a few batteries...

Re: North Getting Serious About Foil Race Kites

It is not surprising that North decided to enter the fray, it just seems like they are a little late to the party at least as far as the Olympics is concerned, but perhaps that is not their goal at all. It will be interesting to see how their kites perform compared to the competition that has been w...

Re: Sonic 4 12m vs Chrono v4 11m

The sonic is easier to jump, with more hangtime, but the Sonic yanks harder and can probably get higher. The Sonic was more predictable and easier to land. First, The sentence above doesn’t make sense as you seem to be comparing the Sonic to the Sonic. Second, the Chrono 4 is an older model a...

Re: Want to break the Woo World Record, go snowkiting

The 3 top jumps on woo were made in Denmark and the 4th was made in New Zealand, none of them the places where you say is a "cheat" to get a good jump. The top 3 in Denmark were off wave kickers. Not sure of the conditions in New Zealand. I never said it is easy to jump over 20 meters. That is true...

fernmanus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 5:39 am So, using a big kite is “cheating”, so is using terrain assistance. By your definition, all of the top jumps should be disqualified as almost all were done using waves as a kicker. Some also occurred in areas with natural uplift such as dunes or cliffs. Pl...
