Re: Ride - New Naish kite

I had a chance to try the Ride recently. I found it to be a horrible kite for performance but this may be due to me being 225lbs. It was a 12 meter and about 18knots in flat water. While I was able to boost and ride lit on my 13 Ozone Edge, i could barely even get going on the 12 meter Ride. Again m...

Re: Best Kiteboarding being tight as f**k to Gin Kiteboardin

Why are so many of you bashing Best for protecting their brand?!?!?! I often joke about not being a huge fan of Best but even I can see that they've done nothing wrong here! So knock off all the stupid comments attacking a company for protecting the work that goes into making their brand what it is....

Re: wakestyle board slingshot misfit 142cm

i am also an advanced rider and I have the misfit. I weigh a couple pounds more than you and I LOVE my misfit. Unfortunately it is NOT the best wakestyle board. Dont get me wrong, its great but there are stiffer boards with better hook up. I was thinking about a north jaime or select for awhile but ...

Re: A "Real" Shame

While I agree that it is not REAL's resposibility to help your friend out, it would have been nice if they could. Ive had friends get stuck in those places too. It sucks, but you get out. Kiteboarding is a dangerous sport and NOONE should be held resposible for dragging your friends butt out after m...

Kite "low end" vs "high end"

so ive heard a number of times different views on this topic and was hoping for some logical input from some experienced riders. When people refer to the the "low end" of a kite, are they refering to its ability to fly in "lower wind" or its ability to pull harder like when youre first coming out of...

Re: Slingshot Octane - Any good?

I agree with issues of back stalling and they also have a lag when you turn them - at times the 11 was the worse for this Turn the kite in a low position - it turns , lags and then boom the power hits quickly which is a pain when you are riding in surf I reckon they screwed up the the rev & made a ...

Re: Slingshot Octane - Any good?

i believe any kite will backstall if oversheeted without enough wind to keep it up. Why do i keep seeing "backstalling issues with this kite" on here? am i wrong or do we have a bunch of new guys on here? :bye:

Re: Slingshot Octane - Any good?

I ride my 13 octane more than any other kite and have never had any deformation(ive got stuck out there in 30 knots unfortunately) maybe youre not pumping it up enough?
