Re: Apollo Review Airstyle- Toby: Ask and ye shall receive :)

More reviews! Thanks Blake. It is really rare that we get a review that explains how the kite turns in the air.

Re: self launch - minimize kite damage

It's hard to stop damage from a drag launch. I'm able to keep the kite in one place while I drag launch but the rotation is something you can't really prevent. When the kite goes from leading edge facing down into the wind and rotated so that it catches the wind, there's no way around it the leading...

Re: Is SlingShot compatible with Liquid Force?

The width of liquid force base plate is the same as other hydrofoils what is not standard on the liquid force models is the length of the mast plate. If you are like me and have the adjustable liquid force rocket it will accept both the liquid force model mast and the standard. If you have the fixed...

Re: Building a lightweight compact plywood hydrofoil board

How does plywood have enough flotation to keep the hydrofoil from sinking to the bottom? I have a liquid force hydrofoil aluminum, there's no way my skimboard would float it.

Re: Bars n kites

Your 2016 slingshot bar is compatible with all those kites, definitely a good idea to ride a newer control bar with those slightly older kites if you think the control bar that came with is looks a bit sketch.

Re: Bars n kites

You can do a search for alexeyga and "control bar" to bring it up, anyway, posting one of the charts here: http://www.kiteforum.com/download/file.php?id=77310&t=1 As you can see, it doesn't do the older control bars. It was sometime between 2013 and 2014 that Cabrinha switched from mini-5th to singl...

Re: slingshot fuel 5th line numbers, my setup

The Vegas 5th line tension has to be perfect. For the Vegas unlike the fuel you don't want this 3.5 inches (90mm) of slack you want it to be perfectly tensioned. If you fly the kite you should notice that both center lines and the 5th line all look equally tensioned. I would have to look at the Nort...

You have way too much free time
why don't you give me some of your wind. This is what happens when there's no wind for a week

Can't see why a slightly slack 5th give you better upwind. What your opinion on that?
It prevents the kite from jellyfishing so you get a constant pull from the kite
