Re: How do I get traction on the surface of my Alaia?

if you live in a hot climate wax becomes a real mess, it drips all over your car unless you keep your surfboard in a bag

Re: How do I get traction on the surface of my Alaia?

You don't want wax you don't want any kind of shoes you don't want a traction pad because it doesn't look good. I think wax is a great option and shoes are also great but anyway. One option is a removable traction pad. https://www.warehouseskateboards.com/images/products/preview/LLMIS0LCLP00000.jpg ...

Really hope to do better this year - I can snowboard now and I think it is very similar - correct?

Kiteboarding really is 90% the kite and only 10% the board. If you have problems look towards how you are flying the kite first and the board second.

Re: Setting up TT board straps correctly? For safety?

I think your intuition is correct. The worst thing that can happen in straps is one foot in and one foot out. There are two ways this can happen. 1) the straps are so loose that the foot can rotate inside the strap. In a hard landing this means that one strap can get around the ankle. If this happen...

Re: Hello all help with rigging wipika air blast

It's safer to fly this in the water than on land because land is hard and air inland is always very gusty. Let us know how it goes. Wipika's of that era are terrible wings, lots of drag, barely goes upwind, no depower to speak of it's either on or off, difficult to control. I do like the kites from ...

Re: How to fall correctly?

ok there are several dangers to falling 1) have one foot in and one foot out of the straps If you have the board one foot in and one foot off, kick the board off that's the most important thing to remember 2) landing feet first when you crash. Don't do this. Even if the water is deep you never know ...

Re: Why do I need a much bigger board AND bigger kite for a heavier rider?

Does not make sense to me to have 87% increase combined for only 26% increase in weight. I would say for 26% increase in weight I might want say 13% increase in surface area and 13% increase in kite size? 13% increase in surface can be something like 135*45 cm (compared to 135*40) 13% increase in k...
