Re: How much difference a kite type makes?

big air kites go much higher. It depends on which kite you are coming from, but if you want some direct numbers just go back to red bull king of the air I think hmm 2018? That was probably the last year that there was a mix of big air kites and C kites. You will have to search the forum for a while ...

Re: Should you Pre Load Pop? / Kiteboarding SA Masterclass

this video (or maybe one just like it I can't remember) really helped me when I was learning pre-load. Watch it! One thing I learned at the time that I didn't understand is that pre-load is not a mini-pop. You don't pop leave the water, then pop again to boost or unhook. You jump. That's the pre-loa...

Re: Bar for foiling

spinning chicken line hole is only a little suspicious. What if the eye bolt spins 360? then it might snag but it seems like the line tension would automatically unspin it.

Re: Go Pro question

buy a rash guard. Any long sleeve shirt can be a rash guard. Then when you put it on the lanyard, you can tuck it inside the rash guard. I think having a rash guard can be stylish too.

Re: Wow, he got so lucky!

Got to say I’m still confused as to what scenario makes someone walk to the beach holding the kite with lines attached and dragging along the ground, there are so many ways that can go wrong. It's obviously for the cool tik tok video and he got exactly what he wanted a nice video about what not to ...

Re: Effect of shorter lines to kite’s high end wind range

I've tested lines all the way from riding right on the bridles zero length up to 100 meters. I don't like going below 10 meters the reason being that it's is so easy to bash the kite into the ground. Prety difficult to loop, also a little difficult to sine the kite to get going. 10 meters does make ...

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

Wingsurfing is like the SUP craze. Or owning a treadmill. Everyone heads out at the beginning of summer and says "Hey can I rent a kite? I want to try it." Then when the word "lessons" "dangerous" and "quick release" get said they back out. Wings, they will sell you those and say "just try it" and p...
