Re: Calling all fatties!

Yeah, losing weight definitely helps a lot! Not just with unhooking. Crashes are easier to withstand too if you're fitter! I really noticed my riding improve with even less time on the water. I went from 105 kg to 90 kg. As for the shallow waters, I don't really do a lot of tricks when it's just ank...

Re: Wakestlye board for soft landings that isn't terible in chop and lightwind

Yeah, don't buy a wakestyle board if you're mainly riding straps. Those are mostly crap with boots. Instead, buy a freestyle board, that can be ridden with boots(not just advertised, but also warrantied with boots).

Re: 14m Naish Torch

Yeah, I bought it for the same reason, only my set is 7/9/14. The set you describe would be my ideal set for the torch, but I don't have the money for the 11. So I weigh about 90kgs and ride a 140/43 Slingshot Vision with Slingshot RAD boots(very heavy setup). I get going when most get going on the ...

Re: Strong wind tricks

Powered backroll to toeside with grab tailgrab if possible, inverted frontrolls off of kickers, send inverted frontrolls (again, you can add a tailgrab), all kinds of kiteloop variations. That's basically what I do or try to do with stronger winds. Ofcourse I add a few good boosts, with grabs. Jumpi...

Re: how to crash give me your tips!

Not tensing my body never helped me. Of course you tense your body and make yourself small. Try falling backwards with speed while just relaxing your body, you won't have a good time.
Now if you make your body small like a ball, you can just roll you way out of it with a lot les pain.

Re: Torch unhooked connection

That works if you have a big hook on your leash, but with most normal leashes the chickenloop will be too fat. I tried this on my slingshot leash and the quickrelease doesn't fully function anymore. It only opens when there's a very big amount of force on it. I just keep it the same way you have it ...

Re: Anyone else literally shit themsleves on the water?

 Yes!.. Well technically it was on land but here it goes. I was having myself an awesome winter(full 5/3 suit+boots/gloves/cap) looping session with 3 others, while all of the sudden I get these really bad cramps, getting all cold. I just sat down and and endured the pain. I was able to ju...

Re: SS Vision vs Naish Motion

Just get the 142, you also won't need a second board. I weigh about the same and my high end I just fine. Of course it would be a little bit easier in the high end, but you really don't need a smaller one.
