Re: Hooked-in kiteloops - need advice

Yesterday I tried some kiteloops in light wind with my Fuel 11m. I think my problem is on either the take-off and/or loop timing. I am ending with the kite behind me when reaching the apex causing it to be too far in the edge of the window. In the second clip a tried to loop it a bit earlier but I t...

Re: Fuel vs RPM

I have never had a relaunch problem with the fuels when wind is above 13kts. As long as they are 2009 and newer they relaunch better than a lot of SLEs. You shouldn't base your buying decision on the relaunch but rather on what you want to do with it, place you ride, quiver size you can afford and y...

Re: Fuel vs RPM

Both are excellent SS products. Many things to consider when selecting one or another. Size: If you look for a light wind kite between both get the 14m RPM. The 13m Fuel is what you would ride if you were 220lbs when everyone else is on 12/11m. If you want a high wind kite then it all comes to your ...

Re: Hooked-in kiteloops - need advice

@SupaEZ, I am sure I have the strong hand dialed in since it is the same hand I use for looking the kite during a F-16 and hooked-in backroll kiteloop. These two are second nature. But straight kite loop is another ballgame. @John a, Next time I will use a kite one size smaller with a bigger board a...

Hooked-in kiteloops - need advice

Yesterday I decided to give it a go with hooked-in kiteloops. It was about 16-18kts and I was using my 11m fuel. I was waiting to reach the top of the jump and then I would loop the kite but the problem was that I was falling way too hard to a point that I almost broke the board, knees and lost my s...

From SLE to Cs - my 2 cents!

It's been 3 months since I fully switched from Bows to C-Kites, more specifically SS fuels. Firstly I would like to say that I am not the kind of rider who rips left and right but I am comfortable throwing some basic unhooked tricks like raleys, backrolls and F-16s.I also ride inland lakes that usua...

Re: Boardshorts?? Yes or No??

I tried wearing but never did it again. Reasons:
- One extra piece of gear to deal with
- Gets full of water adding extra weight
- Gets forgotten in my car trunk for months
- Gotta be also washed after I pee on my wetsuit (rarely)
- Absolutely no function, purely aesthetics.

Re: This is going to be something Big!

Well, what this film is about isn't attracting more people in general to start kiteboarding. We got more than enough old kooks. It's about attracting a younger crowd. For example, on my local beach i think i'm the only one kiting under the age of 25. In comparison, i could go to my local skatepark,...

Re: Railey 2 blind: need some advice

Vlad, that's is a very informative post. I wish we had more trick videos for troubleshooting like yours. I might start doing the same as well. I have the same problem as you. As soon as I load the lines with the kite at 45 for the railey the kite goes up right after I leave the water. I started look...

Re: Top Tips for newbies....

Get as much water time as possible. Visualize your tricks as much as you can and always keep the lines under tension.
