Re: Is lake Simcoe frozen yet?

Tomorrow is the day! Going up to the lake to ride the snow (or crud) for the first time this year...will hope to get a video cut shortly after. Might just bypass Lake Simcoe and head a little further north for better snow prospects...enjoy your winter..

Re: Is lake Simcoe frozen yet?

Oh I hope that the lake is good to go this weekend! What about Bass Lake - it's usually a few degrees colder up there...anyone have any info?

Re: Is lake Simcoe frozen yet?

I'm interested if anyone got out on Simcoe yesterday...this morning's Cook's Bay Ice Fishing Report is looking good, only if the ice holds out the coming warm spell and rain forecast for later this week. It is time to get back out!

Looking to Carpool from Toronto, downtown, if anyone is interested.

Re: kite golf bag

I have the NP Surf golf bag. It fits a board, two kites and accesories before hitting 50lbs. On my very first flight with it, the corner of my board poked right through the corner of the bag. I emailed the manufacturer twice, mainly seeking advice on repair but i guess they could not be bothered to ...

How is Turkey in April?

Any advice on the winds and spots to kite? We are heading to Turkey next spring - will require equipment rentals as i will not be able to lug all my own gear. Thanks!

Deflate kites for storage or travel

It just occured to me that i could switch my hose to the other side of the pump and suck the air out of my bladders, rather than push most if the air out by hand... Any chance of bladder damage by sucking the air out before rolling up a kite?

Re: Ocean Rodeo (Rise) -or- Ozone (Edge/Catalyst)...Decision

Thanks for the advice...I think that the answer is Ocean Rodeo...and being a Canuck it feels good to support a homegrown product.

Re: Ocean Rodeo (Rise) -or- Ozone (Edge/Catalyst)...Decision

Well, I live and work in Toronto, but I am a born and bred Lethbridge boy and Alberta through and through! I got one of my two foils at kitesource and I've been hounding Jeff down there as I weigh out this very important and sizeable investment! From what I hear the Ocean Rodeos are great kites. I j...

Ocean Rodeo (Rise) -or- Ozone (Edge/Catalyst)...Decisions...

I'm almost ready to make an investment in a water kite quiver...Based on the dealers I have locally (in Canada), I'm undecided between: Ocean Rodeo Rise (9/10m and 12/13m) - I am 185lbs so leaning toward the 10-13 combo Ozone Edge or Catalyst (10m and 13m) - I am transitioning from snowkiting to the...
