Re: Moses silente packing for a flight

Just a quick addendum to my post above. I got the adapter from Houston Kiteboarding and the Hoverglide mast and base. First off it's pretty heavy compared to a carbon set up, second the sling shot base hole geometry is 90x160. The base screw openings on the Nobile zen are 90x165 so this was NO BUEN...

Re: Moses silente packing for a flight

This unfortunately is the bane of a kitefoiler's existence who travels. The mast length of anything over 90-93 cm is going to cause you problems and run the risk of oversized luggage fees; add to that mast/fuselage units that are one, well that really sucks. So unless you're a dedicated racer that h...

Re: Foil with my old Nobile Infinity board.

IMHO I don't think that volume of a board helps all that much when foiling. Surface area of the board yes, especially when starting and porpoising or learning air transitions and touching down but I think volume is waaaay over emphasized. A less floaty board is significantly easier to waterstart esp...

Re: MHL Lift 2013 or Moses Fluente for Learning

I would suggest the MHL. The older MHL's, if you're not interested in travelling with you foil are bomb proof. Very strong construction and a great foil to get you going and keep you going. I've been foiling for 3 years now. I still have a 2015 MHL which I still love but the only thing is the mast i...

Re: Nobile Infinity splitboard with other foils?

I just got the Nobile split and the large travel bag. I have an MHL lift foil that fits it fine with M6 2cm screws and washers but I'm ordering the Fluente Moses 91 which should just fit in this Nobile travel bag (90x48x20) with the board, a couple of cloud kites, harness, wetsuit and a pump. I shou...

Re: Kite Vacation / Locations with wife that doesnt kite

If you go with a kiteboard cruise on a cat I highly recommend Kiteboarding cruise. Tomaz is a stand up guy and we've always had a great time with him

Alternatively if you want great wind and a luxury spot for your wife. The Anantara in Mui Ne is great

Re: KiteFix's GluFix vs Seam Grip®

I agree with Matt above mainly on Leading edge repairs. I fixed a leading edge twice with Kite fix. Once as they described then again, inside with fibre tape and dacron and also on outside with fibre tape and dacron. Glue started giving way in the heat and the repair started bulging. Finally I spent...

Re: Kiter killed by shark

Actually direct pressure at bleeding point is best with dressing. If dressing gets soaked through add more dressing on top and apply more pressure. Putting pressure too high up on femoral artery may just cut off collateral circulation. I'm an Emergency Physician by the way.
