Re: Snowkiting switch nitro. Moving to toronto

I've order many Switch Kites to Ontario. The duties and tax levies have been hit and miss....a couple of times I've paid nothing more. Most times you get hit with the 13% sales tax plus duty, which totals to about 20%. Suggest you include with your order a declaration of the total cost that is less ...

Re: KS Black Friday Deals Post

As per usual, this promotion is offered in conjunction with all of our North American and European dealers. Is PBK still an OR dealer? Are you saying he will actually give someone a deal?!?! Joking aside, can you tease any OR Storm deals for us?! Ha HA HAAA, PBK and "deal" in the same sentence, tha...

Re: NP Surf Kite Golf Bag...Warning

Yes the material appears to be weaker than other luggage I own, but not apparent until it gets some abrasion.

And no I didn't approach either company blaming them. You're just full of assumptions aren't ya?

NP Surf Kite Golf Bag...Warning

I recently purchased the NP Surf Golf bag for travel on the strong recommendation of the staff at Silent Sports in Toronto. They assured me that the bag was bomber. I post this as a warning to anyone needing a large golf-style travel bag: stay away from the NP Surf. Multiple emails to NP Surf and Si...

Snowkiting in Southern Ontario, February 2 2013 Video

Hey folks, I'm just sharing the video I put together from riding on Southern Ontario's frozen lakes...This is from a place called Luther Marsh and it is my second ever edited video. I'm still teaching myself how to edit, and bear in mind that I am a scientist rather than a creative genius... https:/...

Re: Switch Nitro V2 Review and first impressions...14M and 1

At 15 knots my element 11 lights right up, last weekend I was out on the element 15... Beautiful and forgiving kite, but it was lulling down to 9 knots where I need a solid 11 or 12 to get upwind on the 15 with a wide twintip. I'm really looking forward to the nitro v2... Sounds like switch killed i...

Re: Switch Kites: are they any good?

Yeah totally, I love the clam cleat. Then again, switching over from ozone bars (foils) I'm used to that method for trimming the kite. There was only once where I saw it failed, when there was a dude who had been kiting in salt water and never rinsed after, the salt was all caked in the cleat and wa...

Re: Switch Kites: are they any good?

Maybe my comment about the bar reads a little harsh...if given the choice right now between a Switch bar at $275 and a North, Naish or other bar at $400-$500, I would choose still choose Switch. A couple things about the Switch bar that I would improve: - the "feel" as in the texture and density of ...

Re: Switch Kites: are they any good?

I've got about a year on my Switch quiver and there's certainly a lot I like about their products...a few things I don't like so much - but this is no different than any other brand... First thing I'll say about the kites - they fly, they turn, they behave like well designed kites. Much like any oth...
