Re: FireWire Evo KiteSurfBoard

I think most direct comparison is the North CSC Nugget. I suspect the Nugget is tougher (also heavier), but it doesn't turn as well as the EVO. Please don't compare Evo to nugget, they are very different! Why would you discourage someone from providing useful information? The mistake you are making...

Drysuit - Warmest temperatures usable?

Have you ever ended a session early because you were too hot? I haven't.

What are the warmest air/wind temperatures you can comfortably use a drysuit? I would think wind speed and sunny/overcast also matter.

Assume an OR Soul or similar drysuit. And a thin-blooded warm weather kiter.

Thanks.

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Unfortunately I am veering away from the premise of this thread. My goal was to eliminate the hook part of my Dynabar, not to eliminate the chicken loop. Currently, I close the snap shackle (a Wichard 2673) around my SS chicken loop. I am not 100% confident in an emergency that the chicken loop will...

Thanks. http://marine.wichard.com/fiche-A%7CWIC ... 00-ME.html http://marine.wichard.com/fiche-A%7CWIC ... 00-ME.html They do not fit together well. It took a lot of work with a Dremmel to make it...

Re: Surfboard type for big surf and good conditions

Standard shortboard Vanguards and all that aside, on big days especially in nice waves all it takes is the standard old school run of the mill shortboard in standard dims: 6x18.25x2.25 Thruster. Thats about the only time they really work well with a kite. Starsky is correct. (The others might be to...

Re: Working with kite in waves on cross-shore conditions

Board shape 1528586_10151855300202267_1454245387_n.jpg Outside , I'm 71 kgs now and board lenght is 6'0". Can't tell nothing about volume, need time to check. I think my problem is my kite piloting, not the board. I have no idea what to do with kite in general, so I have to sort it out in first pla...

Re: Working with kite in waves on cross-shore conditions

I am surprised no one has asked about your board. I ride in much different conditions than you, but I experience several of your problems when on the wrong board. A board with too much buoyancy, especially towards the tail, or not enough rocker, will create too much speed leading to several of your ...
