Re: Get a knot out of kite lines

Chew on the knot.
It will make the knot wet.
It will move the fibers
In the end the knot will loosen

Re: North Neo 2014

from Westozzy (above) : "turn it will generate a lot of power"
Exactly what I don't want on a wave as I will be pulled away from the wave.

Re: Air rush litium X Viral or rebel

The Lithium 8 has grunt for great low end (15knots at 70kgs) and still turns smoothly & quickly. It has a basic pull which is just enough to take over steep waves but not to pull you off a strapless wave board. Varial X is a more demanding kite for steering and probably much less good low end for th...

Re: North Neo 2014

@Stefarius: According to Dan: "Most testing was done in Hawaii. Sky, Ken, Patri, Airton, and several other team members were actively involved in the testing, most of which was done at Ho'okipa/Lanes and various other spots, mostly on the North Shore of Maui. -Dan" Is Neo suited for the Dutch waves ...

Re: North Neo 2014

I always wonder where they test these wave kites. Never ever seen any testing on the typical wave spots in The Netherlands which have specific requirements gusty winds, 6 foot waves or more and short periods (4-6 secs). Very demanding for kite, kite surfboard and kite surfer. So where did North test...

Re: Riding waves backside....

@Eastprock : that are small play waves which you could ride fins first.
Backside or front side gets quite different when the wave is over 6 foot and steep - then your board gets speed and the kite starts to pull because of your board speed - The wave can slap you too.
So quite different situation

Re: Riding waves backside....

Don't unhook when riding on North Sea: there are only waves with winds above 25 knots and gusty (on rare occasions and specific spots there are waves at 20 knots). Unhooked it is likely the gusty wind will rip the kite out of your hands.

Re: If you were to up sticks and relocate where would you go

I want sandy beaches, waves and wind - and possibility to do SUP, MTB and paragliding.
Cabarete comes near but a bit more wind would be great
Puerto Rico - is it more windy than Cabarete ?

Re: The SURF 5/8/12 (4G)

I approve and appreciate that there are 2 valves: - One normal - One fast inflation valve Personally I would never use the fast inflation valve as I am afraid of sand getting into the thread as I pump on sandy beaches with flying and pecking sand: within seconds you get sand into the thread and it s...
