Don’t just go back and forth across the wind. Either point higher into the wind and lower your kite or run downwind deeper to release some of the pressure and then lower the kite and point higher upwind. I ride a FW Vader and love it but you should know that there are no inserts on the FW’s. If you want straps you have to use the NSI pads with inserts which work quite well if you attach them right. Liked the Evo too but the Vader is better fit for me.

As for laying out the lines, not sure if this is the problem but they are reversed if you are laying them upwind or downwind.
