Re: Launching your kite safely

And don’t bring the kite to 12 unless you have a good reason, not just thoughtlessly.

Re: Do we need horns on the bars?

Even if you leave lots of room downwind for safety, you can still catch a gust and go much farther than plan...

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

I rode the SS Burner in the smaller size as I am lighter than you and it was a blast. One of the best boards Slingy has made imo. I think the 5’8” is 30L so might be gret for what you are looking for.

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

I think he meant Slingshot Dialer, a specific board made by Slingy. I’m wondering if with all the folks moving to foiling or winging if there might not be a lot of used kite surf boards in good shape available? Like a FireWire Tomo Evo in He construction?

Re: Warning, never do this!

Guys if you knew sailing rules, boat with motor should give a way boat with just sail, for me it’s clear who had right of a way Agreed, +1, steam always gives way to sail, and carry a radio to remind them of this fact regularly. You can always reach them on channel 16. Which part of ‘he couldn’t tu...

Re: Warning, never do this!

Imagine insurance payout for a motorized ship mowing you down while as w sail vehicle you have priority. No you don’t in this case. In the channel limited mobility and working vessel has priority. :thumb: Also, less official is the mass/tonnage rule. You’re smaller, you move (or die). :bye:
