It ain't hype if it's true - the Cloud is the real deal.....

I'm a sold intermediate kiter, 6'4 225 lbs. Like many of you, I have work and family obligations that prohibit running to the beach every time the wind is on. Accordingly, when I can kite I want to have great sessions, and I want to get on the water no matter how light the wind is (not easy at my we...

Re: does the industry have room for another kite company?!

I think a lot of people are giving Boardriding Maui a try, and being rewarded for their efforts. The reviews of the Cloud kite have been very positive. They're a lot cheaper too.

Re: More strutless love - What's the downside?

I need some replacements for my Crossbows, so I've been waiting to see what Cab had for 2014. The Contra looks nice, but nothing earth shattering. The Clouds seem to at worst be comparable and at best superior to most mainstream kites on the market. (I've read and watched everything about them onlin...

Re: Ram airs crash in 2012

This is a good point, and I have to agree. Superior flying characteristics is the only reason to put up with the complex bridling and possible water filling of foils . I flew a Speed 3 for awhile, and it is flys great. But I got tired of bridling hassles. If there is one place foils should prove the...

Re: What is better: North Gonzalez x Cabrinha ChopStick ?

I'm not familiar with the North, but the ChopStick is horrible in my opinion. (although I'm a big fan of Cab kites)

Check out the Ocean Rodeo Mako - incredible.

Re: Kite Anchor vs. Kite Buddy

Dudes; I use the KiteAnchor with a lot of success, and it's great for shallow water launches, as it comes with a buoy for the hook. However, I did have an incident where a rogue gust launched the kite and pulled the anchor straight out of the ground. Then you have a spike flying through the air - no...

Re: light wind board for big guy

I have to recommend the O.R. Mako King. I'm 6'4 225, and it works great in any conditions. From lightwind to charging it in the surf. And it's still a blast when the wind picks up.

Re: Kite Anchor vs. Kite Buddy

I recently purchased the Kite Anchor, and that thing HOLDS. I couldn't pull it out of the sand, I had to "unscrew" it. I had previously made my own out of an umbrella holder similar to the Kite Buddy, but I could pull it straight up and out of the sand. In my opinion the Kite Anchor has a more secur...
