Re: How to self launch a kite

Nice video, but the real world is often very different. Self launching and landing on a huge totally uncrowded beach in light to moderate wind is quite "easy". Things are different when you have to launch and land in a narrow place with obstacles and people (but no kiters) around…

Re: Felt like I Nearly Drowned

Good to hear you're ok. I think that a dangerous day always comes, it's not a matter of being expert or not. Sometimes all the negative variables go to the same direction and it's the perfect storm. It's quite "easy" once (and if) you're back home to find the mistakes you made, the truth is probably...

Re: Future of Kiteboarding Equipment

My hope is that kiteboarding will not follow the path of windsurfing. In late 90ties, the common feeling about ws was a super bright future and an endless development. The real story was very different. Real innovation nearly stopped, every year the marketing department was sweating to find the way ...

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

Thank you Bruno. I think that at the moment hundreds of questions and list of pros and cons can appear but the great news are that we are in front of the first real innovation in many years. This is really a new concept, not the usual commercial "game changer" that means a bar with new colors or a 1...

Re: Another casualty in Italy

This is a Darwin Award, Italy is currently being devastated by storms, schools are closed, a port has been devastated, trees are falling, flooding a everywhere. You just don’t go out in these conditions. I agree and I don't agree. I agree here in my office with the sad news in my mind and the reaso...

Re: Core kites and kiteboarding industry sales this year

I think that windsurfing was killed also for the "extremization" of the materials. Speaking about kite, they are for sure expensive but once you bought a good 12 (or a size that fits the standard conditions of your home spot) and a board, 90% of the work is done. The you normally add a smaller kite ...

Re: Custom Hardshell made in shop.. would it work?

Customization can be good, but I agree that if you're not the world champion you'll for sure find an harness that fits perfectly, it's only a matter of patience. Just go in a good shop and take your time to test. Also, there are some other points that must be considered. First of all: 99% of the tim...
