Re: Different Bar Widths - Explained

My first Core ESP bar (2009/2010 I think) was already adjustable in two different widths… :-))))

Re: Hurricane Florence and Dimitri Maramenides

Dimitri IS real. I don't own an Epic kite nor I'm a fan or promoter (never had the chance to test one here in Italy) but I think Dimitri is a very positive guy who works passionately for his business, I can't understand why he is criticized every time he shows his kites and boards. Every day I read ...

Re: Beginner kite- Core XR5 or Naish Pivot

Also, about the Core, the LW are light wind specific, that means a different AR and AOA and a lighter weigth (=less durable as tkachuk says). The 15 it's not a bigger 12, it's designed for light wind. If the wind picks up, it can be a nightmare for a beginner.

Re: Got lofted once

Speaking about some instructors and schools, I don't want to say the classic italian words "fare di tutta l'erba un fascio", approximately "putting everyone in the same basket", but in a far galaxy (Greece) two years ago I personally witnessed what follows. It was a 30+ knots day, I was riding happy...

Re: Barbados in November ?!

Been there a lot of years ago for windsurfing in february, didn't like the spot. The wind comes and goes all day long, in 14 days I've never had 3 hours in a row of steady wind. Also we had several no wind days. To be honest the waves are very good, basically the only reason to travel there, but the...

Re: Initial direction of body dragging to retrieve board

I don't think it completely doesn't matter, it depends on the situations. In my home spot, the chop is not oriented in the same direction of the wind but about 45°, due to several facts. So it's always a good idea to body drag first of all against the chop since the board is being pushed in the oppo...

Re: Relaunching a kite while holding board

I simply keep the board on my feet. If the situation is difficult (lines tangled, inverted kite etc.), I hook the board to my roll leash, that I carry exactly for this reason, so that I'm free to move and I can take my time to fix the problem. Then I unhook the board and start again. Please note tha...

Re: Second TwinTip

I own a Bronq 136x42, good from 14/15 knots with my 11. When it's lighter I prefer my Bronq XL 150x50. It's big but you feel like it's small, an incredible board. The "problem" with the Bronq 42 in comparison with other board apparently same size is that they are very rockered and "oval", so the "re...

Re: Light? Interesting what this will be about...

Hajvar, I agree but I don't think that Core speaking about the 12 low end is referring to a 60 kgs. pro rider in perfect flat water and steady wind while F-One is referring to a 90 kgs. kook in choppy water and gusty winds… I think every brand refers to "standard" conditions. My question is what's t...

Re: Light? Interesting what this will be about...

Some data from the websites: Airush Ultra V2, the most advanced and lighter kite they ever built. Size 12, wind range declared: 10-22 (http://airush.com/kites/ultra-v2/). Core XR 5, 5 struts, for sure not the lighter kite out there. Size 12, wind range declared: 10-24 (https://corekites.com/us/kites...
