Re: Lofting/Deadly Dragging

the problem is the lack of education towards danger. For most schools it is more important to get the people going then them being safe. Courses should be longer and have more education about safety and weather. Using the quick release should be first thing to learn, not flying the kite and the win...

Re: Kiter dies in NYC - Plumb Beach

sad to hear, RIP NYC kiter! The sport has its risk...but much safer than other sports. The problem is the bad education about the risks when getting lessons. Time is too short, people to cheap to pay a price to not only get onto the board, but also learn the most important basics for safety and wea...

Re: RRD safety system fail

Re: RRD safety system fail

not my first post about this: i do believe based on experience that a single centerline more effectively disables a kite than any other leash system (and it can be used on any and every kite, ever). (for the 5line people: a 5th line is a single centerline system, but it is not necessary to use an a...

Re: RRD safety system fail

Jessica as others have pointed out this is not a failure of the RRD system, this is how a mini-5th line system is supposed to work. A mini-5th line system relies on the bridle to depower the kite so if the bridle is compromised (for instance in a death loop), you are supposed to completely release ...

Re: RRD safety system fail

The difference between men and women may have never been so evident before the previous post. I cannot imagine not knowing how things work and what the options are and which are better then the other. It seems crazy to me not to question everything. I spent two years researching and testing kites f...
