Re: Warranty w Flysurfer - Failed Bridle Lines on Soul

Flysurfer is very good with warranty items. I would agree, these pullies, can have a bit of a sharp edge, I fly Gin kites, there pullies seem less likely of this, but are on the heavy side, which can create line tangle, but again Flysurfer very quick to deal with matters.

Re: suitcase for splitboard

yeah its not that easy to find. I saw Osprey 120L wheeled, but hard to find locally, and not cheap, but at this point, I am ok with just getting something.

suitcase for splitboard

Hi, I bought a split board hoping to pack it in my large luggage bag, however, having a hard time finding anything that fits. splitboard is 142cm x 42.5, looks like I need about 32" of clearance to fit one half in. Anybody have a bag that works. I think I am now looking at Duffle bag with wheels.

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

Sonic 4 sounds like Soul version one, 9m or Gin Spirit. 9m Soul loved to go fast, much different than the 10m.
Any better in gusty conditions? I am looking at a new 9m or 10m, in super high gusty winds foil kites at times can not be fun.

Packing Gin Maribou 2 for travel

Wondering how to pack Gin Maribou 2 for travel by plane. I just got it, and travel tomorrow, and felt what I call stringers to keep shape for kite, but concerned about snapping one. I have in compression bag, but I eased off for now. Any concerns or how to's?

Re: Soul 10m v2 front stalling

triple check all your A lines are attached, I had this issue, kite was terrible to fly, could not figure out, until a friend was helping launch and noticed one of the leading edge bridles was not attached, and the kite was quit new.

Re: Gin Kiteboarding Spirit

The bridles are good and strong, the Pully's are good quality, but on the heavy side, causing them to hammock, meaning swing, and catch on the other bridles. This kite vs Sonic 3 is a more stable, and smoother ride, Sonic 3 for sure boosts higher. One concern, and it happened once to me, is this kit...

Re: Self launch and self land option

When I travel and kite on my own, I don't like to mess with a foil kite self landing, launching is a breeze, but landing can be tricky. What I do is get close to the shoreline, slowly bring my kite down to one side, so one tip is almost or is touching the water, then when kite is steady, I pull safe...

Re: Flysurfer soul 12 V1 vs 10 V2

I would say 9m original Soul is faster than the 10m, 10m gives you a bit of a bigger kite feeling. I use to hate the 9m, because it was so fast, as I was use to the larger Foil kites, but now I like it, its a lot of fun.
