Re: climate change /unpredictable weather

Don't trust your memory, it is proven to be very inaccurate, even on the short term.

Re: Do you know the Kitesurf Right of Way Rules? Find out how to determine if you have priority.

Very good explanation, because he is relating all rules to the global sea laws . About waveriding: you do not have right of way because you are on a wave, but because for you it is more difficult to manoeuvre. So if a big lip is hitting the person going out, this changes the richt of way to you, bei...

Re: Do you know the Kiteboarding Etiquette?

I don’t care if you Yuri Zoon or president Obama (level- wise :) ), unless you are on a private island same privileges apply to all. My experience with pro riders is that they do care and look for there own spot and time to do their tricks (including Ruben, Youri and a lot of other pro's). It is th...

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

Not so strong, just a smaller diameter pump and a lot of pump strokes. For example MTB shocks contain air pressurized between 80 & 300 psi (depending front or back and rider weight & preference).

Re: selfish short term kite industry

You do not like the thing your mum & dad do until a certain age... so if you are all so interested in getting more young kiters (I couldn't care less, our beaches are busy enough), wait for the grandchildren!

Re: Ride Engine ? Slingshot warranty issue

well, as you are in Spain, the EU rules apply: warranty is an issue between you and the shop, you have nothing to do with the manufacturer. The shop is supposed to proof the issue is not a warranty issue for six months after purchase. After these six months you have to prove it is a warranty issue a...

Re: Do all kites invert equally?

I think that the "bad reputation" for slingshot is not related to real kite inversion, but to the line inversion, or something mysterious is happening. Have used and observed a lot of slingshots since 2004 and the only time one inverted was due to wave washing and tumbling.

Re: What does true mean for you?

Oh yes it is: the north bars, more specifically the lines, have always been mediocre quality. Also Ion (which is nothing more then the accessories line of NKB) has lots of mediocre products.

Re: Slingshot SST vs Ozone Reo

The difference between Reo And SST has always been the same: Reo flies smoother in the turns, but with hardly any power, while SST can give you power in the turns if you need it. For me, the Reo is just not enough power when I need it, but I'm a heavy guy (94 kg). So if you are used to a bit more po...
