Re: Litewave Wing

One thing that makes the Wing work well when the wind picks up is the significant, constant-curve rocker. When really powered your weight ‘rocks’ back to the corner where it planes from. This really keeps the nose up, enhancing performance in chop and over whitewater.

Re: Litewave Wing

The Wing handles higher wind & big chop due to the increased rocker over other light wind boards. Also goes over whitewater in waves no problem. Rocker also makes it easy to initiate a back roll, etc. I normally ride at Sherman Island where the chop/swell is similar to the Gorge, but a little smaller.

Re: Litewave Wing

https://vimeo.com/122273369 This might dispell any rumors that the Wing is not a good freestyle board.....it is! It handles freestyle so nicely. Check out this video of Mexican champion, Anthar Racca. It's a lot different than the Spleene Door, Slingy Glide, or CF LW....you have to try it to believe...

Re: Litewave Wing

I generally recommend the 165-Wing for riders over 190lbs. Both boards handle surprisingly well for freestyle and choppy waters. It has a lot of rocker and concave for a light-wind board. Joe Jamaleddin of Kansas went 48' on the Woo the other day on his 155 in 20-30mph in Corpus Christi on a RRD Vis...

Re: Suggestions for really light LW strapless board?

take a look at the Litewave DV8 6'1". Flatter tail rocker really makes this a good light wind board. Great for strapless freestyle.

Improvements include better laminate, alligator deck-pad, nose-channels for backwards riding. Honeycomb-coremat-fins, Future boxes. Flatter rocker in the 6'1" rockets upwind almost...

Litewave Slam Vest has good protection, adjustment, AND a way to integrate with your harness so it does not ride up. http://www.litewavekiteboards.com
