Re: Tube vs Softkite - an epic battle?

You should try the speed4 in deluxe. Not the Lotus Speed4 made by stencils of Speed4 but the first Speed4 series one which is more of Psycho like extension. They only made 8m/10m kites and sizes in both standard/deluxe fabrics. A/B/Z rows only, no jetflaps, no zippers, battens on the LE - really aw...

Re: Flysurfer hard/soft steering line question

So, I'd love for this thread not to spiral into some ridiculous quantum physics discussion of the WAC line. Question: I went through the plan lines, and it seems that the WAC line disappeared around the speed 4 series and never returned. It seems like it's an over engineered and most likely unnecess...

Re: Corroded Zip!!??

Tzwengal is right. I've had to replace plenty of zippers. But you can try to soak the pull in vinegar. It's a very mild acid that nay dissolve it just enough.

If you really like the kite, sew in a Velcro butt flap. Never fails you.

Re: Flysurfer hard/soft steering line question

Ah! Ok. That makes sense now.
I like full soft, but hate back stall more, so I guess I'll keep it on.

Flysurfer hard/soft steering line question

What would happen if you were to remove the hard/soft steering line altogether? From my understanding the steering would be full soft? Is that correct? Or would it be full hard?
(Unfortunately that conection I don't actually understand).

Thanks for the insights

Sweet! Excellent job. I've been searching for that type of simple release for quite some time.

Re: Improve Kite Drifting Technique

Matteo is spot on. I kinda hate when people talk of how great this or that kite drifts and the video is in perfect side off or side conditions. ANY kite and next to zero skill is required in those conditions. That video is Pacasmyo. Been there, trust me, you can do what ever you want on the wave fac...
