Kite spots found in Grenada / Grenadines

Before going to Grenada I found there wasn't great info on where to kite, so here's what I know now on returning from there. 1- Grenada main land - beach where the hotels are on the east side is sketchy at best. Did not try to kite here. Lots of people on the beach and very big gusts/lulls. Other co...

Re: Stripped brass insert Sword 2 - how to fix

Guided to the answer. For future "strippers", here it is.
For the sword 2, you need an M6 Barell nut. 11mm diameter
Bigwinds has them - 888-509-4210
sounds like the way to get them out ideally is a hydraulic press or improv on a vise.

Re: Stripped brass insert Sword 2 - how to fix

Wonderful. Thanks! I happened to pick up a couple of them last week at http://www.bigwinds.com/ Phone them and specify that it is metric M6 thread (not 1/4 x 20) and specify the diameter of the hole (approx 9mm) that they fit in (it is the smaller of the two standard brass insert sizes). I think the...

Stripped brass insert Sword 2 - how to fix

I've managed to strip/ cross thread both of the bronze inserts. Searching threads I've learned that 1) user error 2) not much else Do you know-- 1) where / what to buy to replace the two bronze inserts , maybe it's an M6? Picked up a couple at the hardware store today and they are the wrong width. 2...

Re: Foil Board Bags

check out http://www.Flyboycovers.com
Board bags work with or without foil mounted.
Thickest padding on the market to protect the car from the gear, and the board from the gear.
Super quick to use. Sheds water & debris.

Re: anyone rigged up a way to carry a hydrofoil w/ straps?

Cover it and throw it over your backpack and shoulder. Nice and easy. Can bang it off beach chairs, cooler etc. with no worries.
