Re: Gear that has exceeded your expectations!

Catch Surf Wave Bandit Performer 4-10. At my weight (74 kg / 165 lbs) it's amazing. It's pretty much replaced all my other boards.

If you really want a cheap booster then get a used Ozone Edge or Liquid Force NRG.

Hands down, not even close, Wave Bandit Performer 4-10 Softtop. This thing shreds so hard I sold both my $800 epoxy boards.

Re: surfboard vs directional kite board

Any good tips on learning jibing with straps? I've been out few times with Sector 60 and could not complete a jibe to save my life :D . You should learn by doing the jibe first and then switching your feet, I've never ridden anything as crazy wide as a Sector 60 though so the might not be possible ...

Re: Question from a Noobie

For Belmont you'll be dealing with light winds so I would stay away from 5 strut kites. Best would be one of the modern single strut kites like LF Solo, Airush Ultra, Naish Boxer, North Mono. They are all very user friendly kites. Single struts can also transition well to LW foiling in the future wh...

Re: Europe with kids?

While El Medano would work pretty well for you know that it's not an amazing kite destination, much more windsurfing oriented. The kid friendly beach is a 600m walk from the kite beach. The atmosphere and food are great.

Re: Is directional more fun than door in LW?

I can have fun on my skim with my 12m kite in as low as 8 knots. A big reason why is that it's finless which makes it much more challenging to ride and gives it the ability to do surface shuvits because you lack the power to boost.

Here's some video of the skim:
