Re: Fatality in France

Simple question: is it worth putting up that risk for a fighting, cold and no tricks session in 40 knots, where the chance of an injury or even fatality is pretty high? Or just stay home and wait for the next good and fun session? Toby a lot of people don't live in Brazil and don't have access to g...

Re: Nick Jacobsen leaves Cabrinha team

where did they say they have 2019 products? They only said that they will introduce their products in 2019. Danish daredevil Jacobsen, who jumped off of one of the tallest hotels in the world on his kite will become Team Manager for the North brand. Nick will be scouting for riders with talent, as ...

Re: Who ride with sunglasses, and where?

This is due to the earth's atmosphere protecting your eyes at higher latitudes. Because once you are outside of the tropics the sun is no longer ever directly over your head the solar radiation now has to travel through move of our atmosphere because it's travelling a farther distance through the sp...

Re: Nick Jacobsen leaves Cabrinha team

North Technology Group is the owner of the North trademark and take over the brand North. Guys, where have you been the last months ? So many discussions about this since months on here...use the search for more info. My point was NTG says they have 2019 products ... well we are less than 30 days a...

Re: Trainer/Beginner kite advice

Considering the Peak in 6 or 9 kvm. Thoughts? From their website: PEAK3 4.0 6.0 9.0 12.0 Land (knots) 5-27 (max. 30) 3-18 (max. 20) 3-16 (max. 18) 3-14 (max. 16) So 6 or 9 look like the right call, with snowkiting it depends on how deep the powder is too though. Be careful with non Flysurfer bars, ...

Re: Trainer/Beginner kite advice

There really are only 2 options you should consider, and if they are too expensive you should consider buying them used instead. 1) FlySurfer Peak 4 (but Peak 1/2/3 would work) 2) Gin Shaman These are both hybrid single skin kites and they are very safe to learn on and very safe to kite with. They h...

Re: Felt like I Nearly Drowned

100% agree that swimming to the kite would have been a very bad move. If the kite is pulling you towards shore on the safety just ride it in like that, if it's pulling you away from shore, let the kite go (try not to think about the $2000 charge for the rental, you'll probably get the kite back more...

Re: Will we see the first foil kite at King of the Air 2019?

Kiteboarding has become an embarra$ment, $3000 kites and showing off your made up jump heights The Soul 6m is only $1500 USD, 8m is $1600 USD. Just because they cost $3000 for 18m versions doesn't mean they all cost that much. PS. I love the taste and effect of redbull (and coke too for that matter!)
