Re: Switch Lineup

What Switch is now? I don't know but it's got to be the first. Good price for other company's designs. Problems: No continuity, no predictability. I'm getting Déjà vu from when Best made the last "waroo" not a "waroo". It ticked lots of people off too. I agree Switch maybe should have changed the n...

Re: Switch Lineup

I'm still considering a LW wavekite, so maybe the H3 12m is an option, but I think I'll experiment losing the sidestruts of my old E3 13m first. Some other guys did it, and mentioned no real difference in stability. Will make the kite a lot lighter though. Because of the weight the minimum wind necc...

Re: Switch Lineup

I think the E6 is more suited to the avarage joe than the E5 and Nitro.

Re: Who has Crazyfly kite? Are they durable ? How is the quality?

I think the quality of CF kites surpasses most of the big brands, but then again I'm not too fond of the so called quality of most of the bigger brands. Haven't flown them yet though. Maybe this year.

Re: Is Wakestyle dead?

edt has it right. It’s the most difficult branch of the sport. Most people don’t have the time to progress in it, and the vast majority even if they did would find that there is quickly a level beyond which they cannot progress, and where the risk of injury becomes increasingly high. Anyone who has...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Cabrinha doesn't have webbing on the closing seam? Only insignia cloth like most others. They do have webbing on the bending part of the struts however. Don't you mean Switch? They're one of the few that have webbing on the closing seam. Good luck getting that seam to fail btw... I've seen more fail...

Re: biggest regret purchase

2012 F-One Acid. Too small even in the biggest size, weak fins (they still use em) and the bottom looked like crap after just 2 sessions. The footpads were crap at that time too, because they were 2 parts glued together, and they separated right at the heel. They changed that with the newer verions ...

Depends where the stitches are. On my Edges both side of single zigzag is gone on places. And I never self launch.
Do you mean on the canopy side? The LE side is a single row of triple if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Canopy has to be sewn to the leading edge using triple point not regular zigzag, come on people. So Switch is doing two adjacent passes of 2-point zig-zag for their canopy-to-LE seam, which is kind of like doing a triple-step / 4-point except leaving out the stitch in the middle. Seems obvio...
