Re: making a new control bar

Looks very nice! Also the PU arround the Safety Line. How does the safety slide through the QR? With the PU or is the PU fixed and the line slides inside the PU? And how is the holding line fixed in the QR? Is it fixed with a loop arround the silver piece on top? The pictures in the shop let only a...

Re: making a new control bar

Faxie, Where did you get your chicken-loop? https://www.kiteattitude.fr/ Among some other parts (clamcleat, rings, lineretainers). The trim bracket + stopperball is from Switch, PU from work and Aliexpress (don't recommend it if exact size is important, red hose tiny bit thicker than black, had tro...

Re: making a new control bar

Finished the bar. Just have to add the mainline stopper, but those haven't arrived yet. 300kg and 500kg SK99 lines. Total cost 290 Euros (over 50,- for all the shipping). Re: Tips and Tricks to Repair Kites - add your experience!

Had a small onestrutvalve leak, probably from a hot car, turns out the air is leaking between the round patch and the plastic base of the connector. Cleaned it up and put some Aquaseal over the edge on the outside and spread it out to get some more coverage. Any one experience with this? Will it ho...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Come back when you have repaired multiple kites from different models with the same damage, only then can you speak of a manufacturing mistake. OK, I am back. Did you move your fingers over that seam? It's a tiny bit looser ofcourse, otherwise no real difference. Don't you think they'd stop using i...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

I've self launched multiple models plenty of times, and no problems whatsoever? I don't see what difference it would make with 3-step that's in the same place. The outer stitching (no load bearing) on the bridle attachment points however can damage from selflaunching after a while. Move your finger...

Re: woo2 vs. Woo3 and why I've recommended upgrading for higher jumps

Should go without saying to keep them as close as possible. A Woo on the toeside edge will move a lot more up and down than a Woo on the heelside edge. How do you figure that? They are stuck to the same inflexible plate. Because of the edging motion the board makes. Heelside is always more or less ...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

From Switch website: CANOPY ATTACHMENT Why are we not using one single row of three-step zigzag like all the others? Every added hole in the leading edge weakens the structure. If you need to add holes, they must be spaced out as far as possible. We use a more time consuming two rows of two-step zi...

Re: Splicing kite lines for beginners

No problems with those hooks over here. They can break off if you're not careful though.
