Re: Marc Jacobs - Kitesurf365 Podcast

If KOTA is something as F1 than must be seen developing also in engineering side. If heigt is most important scoring than why woo or piq not made special height tracker which can translate directly telemetry of jump? This i thing can be acheaved for 50-200 meters range where their kiting easy, just...

Re: Marc Jacobs - Kitesurf365 Podcast

Yeah well even with less emphasis on height a 5m double handlepass would score less than a 15m boardoff. And 300 boardoff variations are getting just as boring as 300 HP variations after a while.

What you see now is that you don't have to do very risky stuff, just get the height and you're good.

Re: Marc Jacobs - Kitesurf365 Podcast

I think 70% for height is too much. I'm more impressed by a handlepass at 10m than a onefooter at 15m. It really isn't going to be another freestyle event if you lower the height criteria.

And no, doesn't ring a bell... would be even cooler if he unhooked while doing the boardoff.

Re: Cabrinha Fireball System: Why Buy

With all benefits guys try to call there are obvious negatives: - proprietary and complex (the "cap"? Seriously?) spreader bar - too long of the "below-the-bar portion" while everyone is aiming at mini-loops - looks overly complex solution for what it is while guys aim at climbing grade simplicity ...

Faxie, are you going to keep it?
No, I'm still happy with my V4 9m for waves, and Legacy 10m for freestyle/boosting. I'm sending it over to the next testrider.

Re: Switch Element-6

I've had 4 sessions on it, 1 wavesession. Gonna send it over to the next testrider now. My verdict, short version: Great for beginners and freeride/wave crossover, and better than the previous versions in that regard (though not as a pure wavekite) Not too good for overpowered riding, get a Nitro or...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Faxie, not sure I understand. Are you saying the kite gets nervous or twitchy in gusty conditions at the top end of its wind range? Thanks Not twitchy or nervous, but the pull seems to fluctuate a bit after a gust. Nothing major, but noticable. I didn't notice that at all when I was waveriding with...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Rode it for 2 hours today in 28-36 knots of wind. Same story as last time tbh. Rides smooth, jumps easy, good turning speed even when depowered, plenty reactivity though not super direct. Did some downloops today and they were nice and gentle. But I still think the amount of pull bounces around a bi...
