Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

I'd say that's a fairly favorable initial review considering the winds. Thanks and we'll watch for more hopefully Friday. My guts are telling me that this is a very good allround kite that will please a lot of people ;) I'll know more on friday. Looking forward to it. That's a good bit of wind for ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Faxie, did you get out today on the E6? Yes I did. 2,5 Hr session mostly flat water, bit choppy sometimes. Disclaimer!! : The wind was 32-34 knots with gusts 40, I was waaay overpowerd (87kg, 9m, boots) so this 'review' is for highend only. Everybody was riding 7 or 8, some C-kites 9. C4X bar 55cm ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Faxie, very much looking forward to your review, no pressure of course! Ofcourse :P Even if I feel it's the best kite I've ever flown, I still stand by the argument that it should be that way without the pulleys, or at least not 3 of them. I'm not gonna try a bridle wrap tomorrow, but I'll give it ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Got an Element6 9m in the mail today to test. Not planning to keep it, because I don't think it suits my needs. But who knows, maybe I'll be stoked after riding it. First impressions are good. It's the Switch quality as we know it. Canopy material is the same as previous models, and there's still a ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

@Faxie - You obviously don't know how to get worked and thrash in the waves properly. Seriously: Almost all of my wrap issues have been during downwinders, looping the kite into the water and getting a lot of line slack, as I coast to a stop towards a downed kite. Earlier this year, I somehow manag...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

+1000 hrs on numerous models and sizes Elements and onyl bridle wrap I've experienced was with selflaunching my V3 13m. What am I doing wrong? :(

Lost count how many times my V3 7m has been eaten up by 1,5-2m waves, never had a wrap with it.

I use vegas and rebel with low V bars..and its better feeling than the Y...i have the original bar too and dont like...more direct control with V..
That's mostly because you're basically more powered... bar is calibrated with lines straight, Y vs V is a higher angle, thus shorter.
